Compact oval circuit with two Black Special cars

The Tamiya 95610 Mini 4WD Oval Home Circuit brings exciting on-table racing via its two-level lane change. The kit works well for new builders and seasoned collectors, featuring distinctive black curve pieces and pale blue straight and lane-change sections that improve sightlines during a race. Included cars are the Geo Glider Black Special on the FM-A chassis and the Hexagonite Black Special on the MA chassis, offering contrasting handling for close competition.

Track layout and key features

The assembled circuit covers roughly 10 metres when run over two laps and occupies 216cm x 120cm on the floor, with the protective fence standing about 5cm high. The two-level lane change introduces a tactical element that rewards speed control and precise steering. The contrasting colours also help spot your car at a glance during heats.

Included vehicles and chassis notes

The Geo Glider Black Special runs on the FM-A chassis, which places the motor at the front for stable straight-line tracking. The Hexagonite Black Special uses the MA chassis with a mid motor layout for sharper corner responses and quicker changes of direction. Both kits are intended for straightforward assembly, letting you get on the track quickly.

Assembly time varies with experience, but many hobbyists complete the two car kits and track setup in a few hours if they follow the instructions carefully.
The set is sold as the oval layout shown, and the two-level lane change is a fixed feature of this configuration. Rearranging sections requires attention to how the level change connects and may need extra parts.
Keep drive shafts and gears free of dust, check wheel and axle alignment, replace worn tyres, and use fresh AA batteries for consistent performance.
