Overview for Mini 4WD Tuners

The Tamiya 95544 HG Carbon Reinforcing Plate Set provides a direct way to stiffen your Mini 4WD chassis. At 1.5mm thickness, these carbon plates are made to reduce flex and give racers more predictable handling across a variety of track layouts.

Material and Fit Notes

Manufactured from high-grade carbon fiber, the plates balance strength with minimal added mass. They are designed to fit multiple Tamiya Mini 4WD chassis styles and can be mounted to improve both front and rear stability without major modifications.

On-Track Benefits

Adding these reinforcing plates helps control chassis flex so your car tracks cleaner through corners and straightaways. The extra rigidity aids drivers aiming to fine-tune balance and traction for technical sections or longer speed runs.

Installation Tips

Fitting the carbon plates is straightforward using common hobby tools and standard screws. Follow existing assembly points for a secure fit and check clearance with bodywork and rollers during initial test runs.

I have been purchasing Tamiya products with Rcjaz for a couple of months now, selection is awesome and service is quick and reliable, considering I leave half way around the world.
The plates are made to work with a range of Tamiya Mini 4WD chassis types. Check mounting hole alignment on your chassis and compare plate dimensions before fitting.
At 1.5mm thickness the carbon adds very little weight while delivering a notable increase in rigidity, making it a sensible trade for stability-focused setups.
Basic tools like a small screwdriver, hex driver set and fine files or sandpaper are usually sufficient. Keep screws hand-tight to avoid overclamping the carbon.
Start by logging lap times and handling feel. Expect reduced flex, so you may need to soften suspension components or adjust weight distribution to recover desired corner grip.
