The Tamiya 94969 JR Brake Set is a practical upgrade for Mini 4WD racers who want to fine tune an AR chassis for race day. The kit includes a distinctive blue brake plate, two types of brake sponges and several spacers so you can dial in the braking profile to suit different track sections. Included adapters and spacers provide multiple mounting choices to match your preferred setup.

The brake plate is shaped with a skid angle to reduce speed loss on grass track sections, helping the car keep momentum through slower surfaces. This brake set is compatible with AR, MA and Super II chassis types, and it can also be fitted to Mini 4WD PRO chassis when used with a separately sold FRP plate.

How much adjustment can I get from the spacers?

The set includes a range of spacers that let you change brake plate clearance and sponge pressure in small increments, so you can experiment to find the best balance between stopping power and top speed.

Which brake sponge should I try first?
