Tamiya PS-31 Smoke Finish for RC Bodies

The Tamiya PS-31 Smoke Spray is formulated for RC hobbyists who paint clear polycarbonate shells. This 100ml can is sized to cover multiple bodies and helps produce a uniform, factory-style smoke finish on your RC car body.

Inside Painting Tips

To get the best results, spray from the inside of the polycarbonate shell. Keep about 30cm between the nozzle and the surface and apply light, even passes. Allow the first coat to dry before adding another layer for deeper opacity. Use small bottle paints for fine trim and decals.

Fuel and Oil Resistance

The paint is designed to resist oils and fuels, so it is suitable for use on gas powered RC models as well as electric rigs. Its durable finish helps your custom paint job hold up in regular use.

Can I spray directly onto the outside of the body?

It is best to spray from the inside of the polycarbonate shell to avoid runs and to protect fine details on the exterior surface.

How many coats will 100ml cover?

Coverage varies by technique and size of the shell, but a 100ml can will usually provide two to three light coats on a typical 1/10 scale shell.

Do I need a primer for polycarbonate?
