The Tamiya PS-5 Black Spray is made for colouring polycarbonate RC car shells. This 100ml aerosol gives enough coverage to coat a typical model body and delivers a smooth, even finish when applied correctly.

Spraying technique and layering advice

For best results, hold the can about 30cm from the inner surface of the body and apply light, even passes. Start with a thin base coat on the inside of the shell and wait until it is fully dry before adding further coats. Use Tamiya polycarbonate bottle paints to hand-paint small details or trims before spraying larger areas.

Resistance and vehicle compatibility

The PS-5 Black formula is designed to tolerate oils and fuels, making it suitable for nitro or gas-powered models where chemical resistance is needed.

Will this spray stick to already painted polycarbonate shells?
