The Tamiya 86003 PS-3 Light Blue spray paint is made for decorating polycarbonate RC car shells, giving a bold colour and a durable surface. Each 100ml can holds enough paint to lay down smooth, consistent coats on an average body shell.

Spraying Technique and Prep

For even coverage, spray from about 30cm and use steady, overlapping passes. Paint the inside of the shell to protect the finish and improve longevity. Let the first coat dry completely before applying a second light coat to build depth. For small areas or fine lines, use Tamiya bottle paints intended for polycarbonate to hand-paint details before or after spraying.

Resistance to Fuels and Oils

This paint shows good resistance to oil and fuel, so it is appropriate for gas-powered RC models. That resistance helps the colour stay intact during runs where fuel and lubricants are present.
