Lightweight Titanium Upgrade for TRF201

The Tamiya 84126 RC TRF201 Titanium Screw Set is a practical upgrade for hobbyists wanting a lighter, tougher fastener package for their car. The set supplies a variety of titanium screws that cut weight compared to steel while offering excellent tensile strength and corrosion resistance.

Benefits of Titanium Fasteners

Titanium hardware is prized for its low mass and high strength, so swapping key steel screws for titanium can shave grams without sacrificing durability. That weight saving can make a noticeable difference in acceleration and handling on the track.

Best Practice for Fitting

For a secure installation use the Item 54232 M3x0.5 Thread Forming Tap to prepare threads before fitting. Pre-tapping helps protect both the chassis and the screw threads for long term reliability.

Absolutely delighted with the service I have received from RC JAZ. Brilliant prices for parts which are becoming hard to find and the shipment to the UK was within 5 days! I have purchased from you before this and will continue to do so. Thank you so much
They are optimised for TRF201 fitment but can be used in other Tamiya models that take M3 hardware of the same lengths. Check part locations before swapping.
Use the correct sized hex or Phillips driver as required and avoid over-torquing; titanium is strong but can seize if driven too hard.
Wipe them after wet use and apply light anti-seize where metal contacts metal to prevent galling during assembly and removal.
