High Gloss Lacquer for Scale Models

Tamiya's LP-50 Bright Red is a lacquer paint that provides a strong, glossy colour ideal for upgrading the look of your model kits. Each 10ml bottle gives enough paint for detailed work and spot repairs as well as modest area coverage. The lacquer formulation works well for airbrushing or hand painting depending on the job.

Tough Film and Fast Drying

This lacquer creates a hard membrane that stands up as a solid basecoat and shows good resistance when used with many enamel topcoats. It dries quickly to reduce waiting time between coats and helps keep the finish even. Keep in mind that the shade may appear different from equivalent colours in Tamiya acrylic or spray ranges.

Thinning Notes for Smooth Sprays

For best airbrush results use Tamiya's recommended lacquer thinner to adjust flow and viscosity. Thinning also helps when brushing larger surfaces to avoid brush marks and maintain an even sheen.
