The Tamiya 72007 4-Speed High Power Gearbox HE is a practical unit for classroom labs and hobby robotics, letting builders experiment with gear ratio tradeoffs and mechanical principles. Its modular layout makes it simple to integrate into small projects and demonstrators.
This gearbox offers four selectable gear ratios: 39.6:1, 47.6:1, 61.7:1, and 74:1, so you can adjust torque and output speed by changing the motor pinion, moving the spur gear, and swapping gear attachments. That flexibility helps when testing drivetrain behaviour under different loads.
Supplied with a Type 260 motor compatibility range, the gearbox supports roughly 5040 to 6300 RPM at 1.5V. It includes a 4mm threaded driveshaft and two 12mm hex wheel hubs, and can accept 130 and 140 motors via the provided adapter, broadening its compatibility with other Tamiya educational kits.
