The Tamiya 70214 Heat-Shrinking Pla-plate gives RC hobbyists a simple way to add bespoke details to cars, trucks and scale models. This clear B6 sheet is suited to cutting, shaping and forming small decorative or functional pieces.

Shrink Behaviour and Strength

On exposure to heat, for example in an electric toaster oven, the Pla-plate reduces to roughly one sixth of its initial area while the material thickens by about six times. That change produces compact, sturdy parts that are easy to fit into model builds.

Marking, Colouring and Finishing

The transparent surface accepts permanent markers well, allowing you to draw fine markings, panel lines or colour blocks without complex painting setups. You can also test other plastic-safe paints if you need different finishes.
