The Tamiya 70163 Submarine Motor with Float is a practical starter for learning basic mechanics and buoyancy. As part of the Tamiya STEM series, the kit encourages learners to build, test and observe simple marine propulsion in a direct, hands-on way.
This set contains a small submarine motor plus a styrofoam float that together demonstrate propulsion and floatation. The motor is supplied as an assembly project so users can see how components interact, while the float, sized 170x100 mm, gives a stable platform for experiments in water.
Well suited to young people curious about science, this kit is ideal for guided experiments and demonstrations. It runs on one R6/AA/UM3 battery (not included) and is best used under supervision so learners can safely study thrust, balance and buoyancy effects.
