The Tamiya 69926 Amphibious Vehicle Kit gives a practical, hands-on way to explore basic propulsion and motion principles. This blue and yellow variant of the 70119 model is visually striking and works well for display or educational demonstrations.
This amphibious kit reflects Tamiya quality and straightforward engineering. It assembles mostly with snap-fit parts and a few screws for secure joins. The finished model measures 175mm long, 89mm wide, and 54mm high, keeping it compact for tabletop demonstrations.
The design balances flotation and drive systems. Styrofoam floats provide buoyancy on water while a screw propeller, driven by the Submarine Motor, provides propulsion. On land the Submarine Motor power is routed through a worm gear to the rear wheels, showing two different drive methods.
The kit allows simple adjustments to rudder and front wheel angles so you can make the model turn in circles both on land and in water. Those tweaks help illustrate steering geometry and control for learners.
