The Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon is a famed single-engine multirole jet originally designed by General Dynamics for the United States Air Force. Built to deliver daylight air superiority, the platform has since developed into a reliable all-weather multirole aircraft. Production has exceeded 4,500 airframes since its 1976 introduction.
Tamiya extends that heritage into scale modelling with this 1/72 rendition of the F-16CJ Block 50. Following larger-scale releases, this smaller kit offers Tamiya accuracy and finesse for builders with limited shelf space who still expect fine detail.
The Tamiya kit reproduces the F-16CJ Block 50's streamlined silhouette and wing to fuselage blend with careful moulding. It depicts a post-2010 aircraft fitted with CCIP upgrades and includes parts for AMRAAM armament plus a bubble canopy formed using slide-mould technology. Builders can choose from three marking options to personalise the finished model.
