Compact 1/72 Bell UH-1B Huey by Tamiya 60722

The Bell UH-1B Huey, first flown in 1959 and widely used across tactical missions, is recreated here in 1/72 scale by Tamiya. The kit reproduces the helicopter's rugged lines and operational layout, and includes a detailed rotor hub, refined cockpit interior and cabin doors that can be modelled open or closed. Decals are supplied for U.S. Navy Vietnam-era markings plus Australian Air Force and Japan Ground Self Defense Force options, giving model builders several authentic finish choices.

What scale is this kit and how big is the finished model?

This is a 1/72 scale plastic kit; once assembled the model measures approximately 180mm in length with a rotor diameter of around 170mm, making it a compact display piece.

Which decal schemes are included?

The decals cover three historical schemes: a U.S. Navy Vietnam-era Huey, an Australian Air Force variant and a Japan Ground Self Defense Force version.

Can the cabin doors be modelled open for display?

Yes. The kit includes parts that allow the cabin doors to be posed either open or closed, letting you show off the cockpit detail or a closed transport configuration.
