Built for Rugged Trails: Tamiya Land Cruiser 300 CC-02

If you enjoy realistic off-road scale driving, the Tamiya Land Cruiser 300 CC-02 brings the look and behaviour of Toyota's Land Cruiser into a 1/10 scale model. The kit combines a detailed polycarbonate body with the tried-and-true CC-02 platform to deliver a durable, authentic off-road experience for RC hobbyists.

Underpinnings and Suspension Details

The CC-02 chassis is engineered for on-trail stability and articulation. It uses a four-link rigid suspension to keep wheels planted while allowing good axle movement over rocks and ruts. The robust layout makes the car predictable on mixed surfaces.

Adjustable wheelbase settings let builders set stance and handling to suit different track conditions or scale preferences.

Upgrade Path and User Experience

Out of the box the model is solid, and it also accepts common upgrades like beefier shocks, higher-traction tyres, and alternative motors. Since the kit is supplied without an ESC, you can match electronics to your driving style.

Builders new to RC will find the assembly straightforward with patience, while experienced drivers can customise driveline and suspension for improved performance.

Specifications

  • Scale: 1/10
  • Chassis: CC-02
  • Suspension: 4-link rigid suspension
  • Wheelbase: Adjustable
  • Body: Polycarbonate Toyota Land Cruiser 300
  • Electronic Speed Control (ESC): Not Included

As a balance of durability and modability, this Land Cruiser 300 kit suits trail riders and modders who want a scale truck they can tune and maintain over time.

This is a kit version supplied without an ESC or motor; you will need to supply electronics, battery and transmitter to complete the build.
Choose an ESC and motor that fit your preferred speed and torque. For trail work a mid-power brushless combo offers good control and efficiency.
The chassis and body handle light to moderate wet conditions, but protect electronics and bearings from deep water to avoid corrosion and damage.
Start with better shocks and foam or heavier compound tyres, then consider stiffer sway bars or a higher torque servo for improved steering response.
