Since its 1988 debut the Avante has been a favourite among hobbyists for its forward-thinking layout. This reissue brings the Avante 58489 back with thoughtful updates that respect the original engineering while improving durability and usability for modern RC drivers.

Design and engineering highlights

The Avante's original strengths are retained, including its shaft-driven 4WD and double-deck chassis concept. For this version the chassis has been upgraded to carbon fiber in place of the older FRP, boosting rigidity and reducing flex under load so it copes better with today's competitive circuits.

Upgrades focused on durability

Durability is a priority on the 58489. The rear damper stay uses a thicker carbon layup to resist impacts and twisting. The polycarbonate body shell offers improved resistance to scrapes and off-road knocks, making the model tougher for both practice sessions and club events.

Precision handling and easier maintenance

For smoother drivetrain operation the car uses assembly universal shafts at both ends to cut friction. The gold-coloured oil dampers include bottom caps to simplify maintenance tasks such as O-ring changes. These refinements help keep setup and service time to a minimum.
