Precision bearing upgrade for Tamiya 56357 Arocs

If you want to keep your Tamiya 56357 Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3348 6x4 tipper truck running clean and smooth, the JAZRIDER metal shielded RC ball bearing set is a practical replacement option. This 36-piece kit swaps into worn hubs and shafts to restore rolling efficiency and improve longevity.

What the kit contains

The kit supplies a selection of bearings to cover the common rotating points on the truck:

  • 8pcs: 6 x 12 x 4mm
  • 27pcs: 5 x 11 x 4mm
  • 1pc: 5 x 8 x 2.5mm

These sizes are intended to replace the stock bearings in wheel hubs, transmission shafts and other moving parts, lowering friction and wear for steadier running.

Benefits of metal shielded bearings

Metal shields provide better defense against grit and dust than thin plastic seals, which helps when you run on gravel, dirt or construction-style yards. Upgrading to shielded bearings keeps tolerances stable and reduces the need for frequent servicing.

I ordered a few items and they arrived a day later from delivery date. But that’s understandable in Covid times. rcjaz are great to deal with and will trade with them in the future.

The sizes in this JAZRIDER JR-CBR-TM-067 set match many common Tamiya bearing locations. Check the individual bearing dimensions against your model before fitting.
Work on a clean bench, press bearings straight into hubs with a soft driver, and avoid hammering on the race. Light grease around seals helps seating and keeps out moisture.
Inspect bearings after heavy runs or if you notice roughness. Shielded bearings need less frequent maintenance, but periodic cleaning and relube extends service life.
