If you want sharper handling and extra ballast for competitive setups, the Tamiya 54938 Brass Adjustable Suspension Mounts are a direct option. Made to fit TRF420, TRF419, TA07 and TB-05 chassis, these brass mounts add mass and stability versus lightweight aluminium versions, helping drivers refine mid corner grip and overall balance.

Adjustable Tuning Options

The set includes three different mount profiles so you can try multiple geometries. A bushing sprue supplies seven pairs of bushings with varying bore sizes for suspension shafts, producing up to 25 distinct shaft offset choices. That variety makes it straightforward to tailor roll centre and weight bias for different track surfaces.

Fits TRF and TA/TB Platforms

These mounts are engineered for use with Tamiya TRF420, TRF419, TA07 and TB-05 chassis. Using the mounts and bushings in different combinations lets you move settings between XD and X positions and alter toe characteristics to suit setup goals.

A small hex driver set, fine pliers for the bushings, and a torque driver for final tightening are usually enough. Work slowly to avoid scuffing the shafts.
Using bushings that shift the shaft forward increases front-end mass and can promote grip on entry. Try small incremental changes and test lap times to confirm the effect.
Keep mounting faces clean and check bushings for wear. Lightly lubricate contact points to prevent corrosion and inspect after heavy race weekends.
