Fine-Tune TB-05 Steering with Adjustable Ackerman

If you want precise steering control on a TB-05 PRO chassis, the Tamiya 54923 Adjustable Ackerman Steering Set gives a practical way to tune front-end behaviour. The kit helps drivers experiment with steering geometry to improve corner entry and mid-corner balance.

Three Distinct Ackerman Choices

Made mostly from aluminium for extra stiffness and repeatable feel, the kit provides three Ackerman positions: standard, intermediate and aggressive. Changing between modes is done by swapping the supplied bearing holder pieces, each with a different hole offset. The aggressive option gives a sharper initial steering reaction similar to the TA07 PRO arrangement.

Durable Aluminium Parts with Blue Finish

The aluminium steering arms and bridge replace the kit plastic items and are finished in Tamiya blue anodising for both looks and longevity. These metal components reduce flex under load for crisper steering feedback.

Designed for the TB-05 PRO

This steering set is purpose-built for the TB-05 PRO chassis and installs as a direct upgrade for racers seeking clearer steering response.

The aggressive setting increases inner wheel steering at turn-in, producing quicker initial response. It can make the car turn in earlier but may require slight throttle control to maintain mid-corner balance.
Installation replaces the kit steering parts and uses the supplied aluminium components and bearing holders. Basic tools and familiarity with the TB-05 steering geometry are all you need; no major chassis modifications are required.
Aluminium parts are stiffer than plastic, so they transmit more load to steering linkages and the servo. Use a suitable metal-geared servo rated for your application to ensure reliable operation.
