Carbon Upgrade for TA-07 Chassis

The Tamiya 54745 Carbon Reinforced Lower Deck is a direct upgrade for the TA-07 chassis, moulded from carbon fiber reinforced nylon resin. It replaces the kit FRP lower deck to increase torsional stiffness and refine handling, especially on high-grip carpet and asphalt circuits. Fitting this deck helps you dial in chassis flex to match different racing surfaces.

Handling and Stability Benefits

Fitting a carbon-reinforced lower deck raises chassis rigidity, which sharpens steering response and improves mid-corner stability where traction is high. For low-traction or loose surfaces the original FRP deck can still provide a more forgiving balance.

Fitting Notes and Thread Preparation

When installing this part it is recommended to pre-tap the mounting holes to protect the threads. Using the Tamiya Item 54232 RC M3x0.5mm Thread Forming Tap will help secure the screws and avoid damage during assembly and repeated servicing.
