Front suspension upgrade with larger bore design

If you want a noticeable improvement to your buggy's front end, the Tamiya 54504 Big Bore Front Dampers are a direct upgrade for TRF201, TRF511, TRF502X, DB01 and DB02 chassis. These dampers boost oil volume and strengthen the front suspension for more controlled handling on uneven surfaces.

Expanded oil capacity for steadier damping

The key feature is a 12mm inner diameter cylinder, 2mm wider than common alternatives. That larger bore lets the damper hold about 40% more oil, which helps absorb repeated impacts and keeps rebound and compression more consistent during long runs.

Robust, serviceable components

The kit contains HL-coated cylinders, sturdy aluminum caps and titanium-coated piston rods built for frequent use. Aluminum adjusters and retainers are included so you can fine tune spring preload and droop to match track conditions and driving style.

Specifications

  • Inner Diameter: 12mm
  • Material: Aluminum and Titanium
  • Compatibility: TRF201, TRF511, TRF502X, DB01, DB02

A practical upgrade for racers and club drivers seeking improved front-end control and repeatable damping.

Absolutely delighted with the service I have received from RC JAZ. Brilliant prices for parts which are becoming hard to find and the shipment to the UK was within 5 days! I have purchased from you before this and will continue to do so. Thank you so much
No. Coil springs are not supplied with this set. Use springs matched to your buggy and driving conditions.
Standard RC damper oils are suitable; choose viscosity to tune response - lighter oils for quicker action, heavier oils for firmer control.
They are designed for the listed TRF and DB chassis and should install using stock mounting points, though check clearances if you run custom shock towers.
