Lowered Ride Height and Fine Tuning for M-Chassis

For hobbyists wanting better control of their M-Chassis cars, Tamiya presents the 54000 Aluminum Damper Set. The four-damper kit is built for M-Chassis platforms and provides improved fine tuning compared with standard touring dampers. Each damper cylinder and rod is 2mm shorter to allow a lower ride height and more precise suspension setup.

Low-Friction Finish and Track-Friendly Styling

The Tamiya 54000 dampers use a hard black coating to reduce friction, improving consistency while contrasting with the blue damper caps. White damper springs are included to match the look while maintaining reliable spring action. Together these parts help refine handling without altering core chassis geometry.

Specifications

  • Material: Aluminum
  • Cylinder Length: 2mm shorter than standard
  • Coating: Hard black
  • Compatible Chassis: M-03, M-04, M-05, M-06

These dampers are made for the M-Chassis family and will replace standard M-03 and M-04 dampers. Check for body and shock tower clearance when lowering ride height.
The shorter cylinders lower the car slightly and reduce available travel, which lets you tune the suspension for crisper cornering and a flatter stance on smooth surfaces.
Periodically inspect seals and shafts for dirt, clean the exterior, and refresh shock oil or springs as needed to keep consistent damping performance.
