Tamiya has built a reputation in competitive R/C, and the TG10-Mk.2FZ continues that line by combining nitro performance with precise engineering. The Raikiri-styled body, based on Mini 4WD cues, is sculpted to cut drag and stabilise the car at speed on asphalt circuits.
The TG10-Mk.2FZ is driven by the FS-12FZ .12 cubic inch nitro glow engine, featuring a sliding carburetor and an aluminium heat sink head for reliable cooling. Matched with a 2-speed transmission, this setup delivers a usable powerband that can be tuned to suit different track layouts.
The double-deck frame pairs a duraluminium lower deck with a resin upper deck to balance stiffness and weight. Fully independent double wishbone suspension and oil-filled dampers help the car respond predictably, while shielded ball bearings keep drivetrain losses to a minimum. Adjustable camber, toe, and gearing let racers refine handling for their local track.
The package includes a slim-line TM-8 muffler to reduce body contact and a 75cc fuel tank rated for roughly 8 minutes per tank. Newcomers to nitro will find the manual useful for break-in and maintenance procedures. Required extras include a 2-channel radio, glow fuel, a receiver battery pack, and two servos to complete the build.
The Tamiya TG10-Mk.2FZ is aimed at experienced drivers and collectors who want a tunable nitro touring platform with Tamiya engineering and track credibility.
