Track-Focused Chassis: Tamiya 42364 TA07 MSX Overview

The Tamiya TA07 line has long been a favourite for on-road racers, and the 42364 TA07 MSX chassis kit builds on that pedigree with targeted refinements. This high-performance kit gives skilled hobbyists a platform for fine handling and setup work.

Layout Changes That Improve Handling

The TA07 MSX adds two alternative motor positions moved further rearward than the TA07 PRO, and flips the motor and spur gear orientation to aid traction and stability under acceleration and through corners. The core chassis uses a 2mm dual bridge vertical frame with the choice of carbon fibre or aluminium lower decks to match track demands.

TRF420 Suspension and Setup Flexibility

With the TRF420 suspension system at its core, the TA07 MSX delivers extensive setup options via suspension mount bushings for precise geometry adjustments. TRF Super Short Big Bore Dampers provide additional choices for damper length and spring rates to suit different asphalt and carpet surfaces.

It was a product I wanted to get very much, and they responded kindly to inquiries and delivered quickly. Thank you very much.
The TA07 MSX targets intermediate to advanced builders; basic construction is straightforward but optimising motor position, deck choice and TRF420 settings requires experience.
Moving the motor rearwards typically increases rear traction and stability, but ideal choice depends on weight distribution, tyres and the track layout.
Yes, the kit supports carbon fibre or aluminium lower decks so you can test stiffness and flex characteristics to tune handling for specific surfaces.
No. You will need to supply radio gear, servo, ESC, a 7.2-7.4V battery, charger, motor, tyres, wheels and a GT-style body shell to complete the car.
