The Tamiya 36213 1/16 scale M551 Sheridan model gives enthusiasts a close-up look at one of the more distinctive US armoured vehicles. First developed in 1959, the Sheridan saw service in Vietnam and the Gulf conflicts and was valued for its lightweight, air-transportable design that supported rapid deployment.
This static display kit uses parts derived from Tamiya R/C components to deliver refined detail for serious collectors. The completed model measures 408mm long, 177mm wide, and 186mm high including the gun shield. It features a machined aluminium gun barrel and metal parts such as the lower hull and drive sprockets to boost realism.
Pre-assembled plastic track sections and soft resin rubber pad representations simplify fitting while preserving a realistic look. Photo-etched metal pieces are included so builders can reproduce the anti-RPG netting seen on some Sheridans, adding period-correct detail to finished displays.
