The Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.J illustrates key wartime adaptations of the German armored forces during World War II. Introduced around 1944, this variant carried the 7.5cm KwK 40 L/48 gun and featured elements such as the turret grenade hatch and Schurzen side skirts. This 1/16 scale rendition from Tamiya recreates those features for an authentic modelling experience.
The kit is aimed at builders who enjoy precise assembly; it comes designed to accept a Type 380 motor that provides forward drive. Detailed parts capture the protective upgrades and turret fittings, giving modelers a faithful representation to assemble and display.
When finished, the model makes a convincing centrepiece for a WWII collection. Its scale detail and operational drive element help it sit naturally among other period armour models.
