This 1/35 scale Tamiya reproduction of the WWII German KS600 motorcycle and sidecar is a precise kit for military modelling collections. The KS600 was valued in wartime for reliability and cross-country capability, and this model recreates those engineering cues with careful attention to small-scale detail.
The KS600 served in roles from reconnaissance to message running, powered by a horizontally opposed 2-cylinder 597cc engine and a 4-speed gearbox. Its pressed steel frame provided surprising strength for its weight, and the kit captures proportional elements that reflect the original machine's construction and purpose.
This kit is aimed at modellers who enjoy accurate assembly and fine detailing. Parts are broken down to present realistic components such as fork sections, frame members and engine casings. The moulding includes separate head parts to show air-cooling fins and split wheel halves with spoke detail for authentic wheel profiles.
At a finished size of 71mm long and 47mm wide, the model is compact yet striking on display. Decals provide period German Army and Air Force number plates, and three included figures - driver, commander and infantryman - allow varied vignette scenes for diorama work.
