The Panzer IV/70(A) was an incremental adaptation of the Panzerkampfwagen family, created late in World War II to mount a longer 7.5cm L/70 gun for better anti-armor performance. Built on the Panzer IV Ausf. J chassis, it is known for its Thoma Schurzen wire mesh skirts and roughly 280 units completed, seeing service on both Eastern and Western battlefields.
Tamiya presents this subject in 1/35 scale with careful reference work, including study visits to the Saumur Armored Museum. The result is a kit that gives model builders a realistic, research-based platform to assemble and display a period-correct Jagdpanzer IV/70(A).
