Close Study of the Tamiya 1/35 Jagdpanzer IV L/70 (V)

This Tamiya 1/35 Jagdpanzer IV L/70 (V) kit recreates one of Germany's most potent late-war tank destroyers in scale. Noted for its long 70-calibre 7.5cm gun, the vehicle offered crews increased stand-off anti-tank capability compared with earlier mounts.

Background and Combat Role

Built on the Panzer IV chassis, the Jagdpanzer IV began life with a 48-calibre gun but was upgunned to the 70-calibre variant as battlefield needs evolved. Produced by Vomag in later batches, these vehicles saw use in defensive sectors and counterattack operations, including actions during the Ardennes offensive.

Kit Details and Modelling Notes

The assembly kit gives modellers a faithful representation with a single-piece moulded main barrel and detailed hull surfaces. Decals are supplied with multiple marking options so you can replicate different unit paint schemes and late-war field variations. The build rewards careful seam work and painting to bring out the casting and weld textures.
