The Tamiya 1/35 scale JSU-152 model gives hobbyists the chance to recreate an important piece of WWII armour. Renowned for actions at Kursk and Berlin, the JSU-152 was a potent opponent to German tanks such as the Tiger I and Panther.
Built on the JS-2 heavy tank chassis, the JSU-152 entered combat in 1943 and earned the nickname "Zveroboy" or "beast killer" for its effectiveness against heavily armoured targets. Armed with the ML-20S 152mm howitzer, it could deliver both direct hits and indirect fire support.
This kit reproduces the JSU-152 with careful attention to surface texture and fittings. Features include simulated cast metal surfaces, a DShK machine gun, photo-etched engine grilles and the option of belt or assembly-type tracks. Expect a detailed build that rewards patience and accurate finishing.
