The Sd.Kfz.232 played a key role in German reconnaissance during early World War II. Built for long range scouting, the vehicle featured a tall radio mast and robust eight wheel drive, plus twin driving positions. Armament normally included a 2cm autocannon and an MG34 in the turret, giving it both firepower and mobility on paved roads and desert tracks.
This Tamiya 35297 model reproduces the Sd.Kfz.232 in 1/35 scale with attention to period detail. The kit supplies period jerry cans and tools to enhance realism, and the box art reflects the North African setting where this variant served. Included figures show a tropical-uniform officer and a crewman for turret display.
Photo-etched parts such as light-protecting mesh and an aluminum 2cm barrel lift the finished model for display. Decals cover markings for the North African theatre, the Balkans, and Kursk, so you can pick your preferred campaign. Combine this Sd.Kfz.232 with other 1/35 vehicles to craft a convoy or forward reconnaissance scene.
