The Tamiya 35255 - 1/35 German Marder III M reproduces the distinctive tank destroyer layout with a rear fighting compartment and faithful external details. It is a precise option for hobbyists aiming to build a historically accurate display model.
The Marder III series used the Czech 38(t) chassis to mount larger anti-tank guns against Soviet armour. Introduced in May 1943, the Marder III M moved the engine forward to create a rear combat compartment and was armed with the 7.5cm Pak40/3 until later designs like the Hetzer replaced it.
This Tamiya kit captures the Marder III M form with careful moulding and parts placement. The assembly presents details such as the main gun, ammunition stowage, and radio fittings. Included are a photo-etched muffler cover, accurately shaped sprockets and idlers, one crew figure, and decals offering five different armour markings.
