The U.S. Medium Tank M26 Pershing earned its place late in World War II as a response to heavy German armour, mounting a 90mm main gun and offering improved mobility for Allied forces. First deployed on the Western Front in early 1945, it continued service into the Korean conflict where it faced Soviet-built T34/85 tanks.
The Tamiya 1/35 scale model reproduces the Pershing with close attention to texture and fittings, including the long 90mm barrel and an accurately shaped turret. At 245mm overall length, the kit presents fine cast-surface detail and separate parts such as engine grills to enhance realism.
Builders can choose to fit hatches open or closed and use the movable suspension to pose the tank over uneven terrain. The set also includes two crew figures, machine gun ammo boxes, and decals providing four marking options for varied finishes.
