The Tamiya 35241 kit faithfully recreates the DKW NZ 350/1 used by Wehrmacht units in WWII. The original bike was prized for being light and nimble, performing reconnaissance and courier tasks across Europe, North Africa and the Eastern Front.
DKW earned recognition in the 1930s for its two-stroke engine designs. The NZ 350/1, adapted for military service, featured a sturdy cast iron engine and frame bracing that improved road stability, making it suitable for dispatch duties though not ideal on very rough terrain.
This 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya captures fine surface detail and period equipment, giving hobbyists an accurate subject to assemble and paint. Parts are finely molded and require glue and careful fitting, providing a satisfying project for both newcomers and experienced builders.
