The German Tiger I tank is known for its thick armor and the potent 8.8cm KwK 36 L/56 main gun. It first appeared in the North African campaign late in 1942. After a design contest between Henschel and Porsche, the Henschel prototype proved superior and entered mass production by August 1942. Later tweaks such as air pre-cleaners and stronger mantlets were fitted, so the early production run from November 1942 to July 1943 is especially significant.
This Tamiya 1/35 kit recreates the early production Tiger I with care, offering over 200 precisely moulded parts for a rewarding assembly. The set highlights external detailing and includes selected internal turret components. A painted tank commander figure is supplied for display, and the single-piece flexible rubber tracks simplify fitting while keeping an authentic look.
