The Tamiya 35200 kit recreates the German Wespe self-propelled howitzer from World War II, capturing the vehicle used on the Eastern Front with attention to its mid-hull engine layout and box-shaped gun mount. Built as a static display model, it is aimed at hobbyists who enjoy accurate assembly and paintwork for museum-style showcases.
The Wespe entered service in early 1943 as a field artillery solution and saw production through 1944. This kit models the 10.5cm howitzer on a Panzer II chassis and includes working elevation and traverse details. With more than 190 parts and detailed suspension components, the set gives a thorough modelling project and includes two crew figures in winter uniforms to enhance period realism.
