The German Tiger I heavy tank is a well known World War II vehicle, developed to meet the challenge posed by the Soviet T34. The mid-production variant, built between July 1943 and January 1944, incorporated combat-driven upgrades such as a revised commander's cupola for improved sighting and Zimmerit anti-magnetic paste on the hull to deter magnetic mines.
This Tamiya 35194 kit reproduces the mid-production Tiger I with careful attention to the hull and suspension. Around 470 of these mid-production tanks were produced and saw extensive action on the Eastern Front. Builders will find the exterior detailing and chassis components suitable for historically accurate displays and dioramas.
The box contains finely moulded plastic components, separately moulded track links and a German soldier figure to enhance any vignette. Waterslide decals and clear pictorial instructions guide the build, while the parts count and finish make this kit a strong choice for display and study.
