This 1/48 scale Tamiya Panzer 38(t) Ausf.E/F kit lets hobbyists recreate a notable WWII light tank in miniature form. The original vehicle began life as a Czech design and was taken into German service after the occupation of Czechoslovakia. The 38(t) earned a reputation for reliability and saw action in early campaigns such as the invasion of Poland and the opening stages of Operation Barbarossa.
The 38(t) carried a 37mm main gun with two MG37(t) machine guns for secondary armament. A six cylinder powerplant drove it to speeds around 42 km/h. The Ausf.E/F series, made between November 1940 and October 1941, added thicker armor for greater survivability on the front lines. This kit reflects those defining details for historical accuracy.
This kit supplies plastic parts, water-slide decals and a weight to give the finished model a realistic feel. A torso figure of a tank commander is included, and the riveted hull, towing cables and tool fittings are modelled carefully. Two marking options are provided so you can pick the period look you prefer.
