The Japanese light cruiser Agano acted as a flotilla leader and coordinated torpedo attacks during World War II. Laid down under prewar fleet plans, Agano led her class and saw active service across the Pacific until she was sunk by a US submarine near Truk.
This 1/700 kit from Tamiya reproduces the Agano as completed in 1942, showing the hull lines, masts and twin 15cm turrets with careful proportions. The parts layout and detail level make it suitable for modellers who value historical accuracy and a satisfying assembly.
The kit provides finely moulded plastic components, metal pieces to help with buoyancy and realism, plus waterslide decals and clear pictorial instructions. Glue assembly is required, and the included decals and fittings help produce a stable, display-ready model when finished.
