The Tamiya 25412 - 1/35 British Centurion Mk.III model kit delivers a careful recreation of a standout post-World War II tank. Valued for its sturdy construction and potent armament, the Centurion Mk.III earned recognition during the Korean War era, and this kit reproduces those defining aspects with close attention to detail.
Originating as a heavy cruiser concept in 1942, the Centurion was conceived to face German armour with improvements such as sloped frontal plating, a 600hp powerplant, and Horstmann suspension. The Mk.III, appearing in 1948, introduced the 20 pounder gun which was widely used in later conflicts.
This 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya accurately renders the Centurion Mk.III turret and hull contours. Builders can display the 20 pounder either with the canvas cover fitted or removed, and the model includes faithful Horstmann suspension components plus belt-type tracks for a realistic finish.
