Accurate 1/35 Representation of the T-55A

The Tamiya 25145 kit presents a finely modelled 1/35 scale T-55A main battle tank, faithful to the Cold War era design first produced in 1958. The low profile hull and rounded turret are captured in scale to give a realistic silhouette for display or diorama use.

Precision Upgrades with Aber Photo-Etch and Metal Barrel

This release includes Aber photo-etched components and a metal gun barrel to reproduce small parts like engine grilles and fastening plates with clean, crisp detail. These metal and etched parts lift the finish beyond standard plastic detail for experienced modellers.

Versatile Build Options and Historical Accuracy

The Tamiya T-55A kit allows modelling of field variants used by several armies, with authentic items such as fuel drums, road wheels and a commander figure included. The parts layout and engraved details make it straightforward to add weathering and aftermarket upgrades.

  • Scale: 1/35
  • Length: 259mm
  • Includes photo-etched parts and metal barrel
  • Comes with a commander figure and 5 marking options
The kit is aimed at modellers with some experience. Plastic parts fit well but the photo-etched pieces require careful bending and precise gluing, so basic PE handling skills are helpful.
Typical enamel or acrylic military greens and weathering washes work well. Modellers often use a matt topcoat and oil filters to bring out panel lines and grime around the suspension.
The included Aber parts and metal barrel already add high fidelity, but modellers may choose resin details or aftermarket tracks for added texture and finer definition.
