The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren blends Formula One derived engineering with grand tourer luxury. Launched at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show, it was developed by McLaren Cars in partnership with DaimlerChrysler and houses an AMG-tuned front-mounted 5.5L V8 with a screw-type supercharger producing about 626 horsepower.
