The Porsche 962C is a standout in endurance racing history, noted for advanced engineering and competitive results. Designed to meet Group C regulations from 1982, the 962C evolved from the 956 to suit IMSA and global endurance events, gaining improvements by 1985 such as a 3000cc twin-turbo engine and larger wheels to strengthen on-track performance and reliability.
The 1988 Le Mans example in Shell colours is remembered for taking pole and setting the fastest lap, even if it did not win. This 1/24 reissue from Tamiya reproduces that racing icon with careful scale detail for display or collection.
