The Toyota Celica GT-Four remains a standout example of Toyota engineering in competition. Introduced in 1970 and refined over generations, the Celica reached a high point with the sixth generation in 1993, combining road sensibilities with proven rally capability.
This scale replica by Tamiya reflects the GT-Four's competition focus. The full-size car used a 2-liter DOHC turbocharged engine producing 255 horsepower, paired with a full-time 4WD system. Super-strut suspension and ABS helped deliver controlled handling across varied rally surfaces.
The Tamiya kit recreates the Celica's aggressive silhouette, from the distinct headlamp shapes to the aerodynamic rear wing. Parts arrive moulded in black with clear components for windows and lenses. Builders will appreciate the realistic rubber tires and the finely modelled engine bay and interior sections.
