The Subaru Alcyone, marketed as the XT Coupe in some markets, stands out for its sharp wedge silhouette and advanced engineering. This two-door coupe featured a low drag coefficient of 0.30, retractable headlights, air suspension and the ACT-4 active torque-split 4WD system. The Japanese VR variant used a 135hp 1.7-liter boxer engine.
This Tamiya 1/24 scale kit recreates the Subaru 4WD Turbo XT Coupe with attention to proportions and drivetrain detail. The completed model measures 186mm long and shows the suspension and drive components clearly. Builders can fit either left- or right-hand drive dashboards, and the headlight assemblies are built to operate after assembly. Decals include a digital instrument option plus two seat cover patterns, and an optional rear spoiler is provided for customization.
