The Tamiya 24049 kit delivers a faithful 1/24 scale replica of the Newman Porsche 956 that won the 1984 Le Mans 24 Hours. The model reflects Joest Racing's race setup and includes the detailed 6-cylinder boxer engine with DOHC 4-valve turbocharging as described in the original car.

The kit comes with the distinctive New Man livery in yellow, black and white, and includes parts that highlight the front and rear double wishbone suspension and the monocoque chassis layout.
