The 2008 Super GT season put the MOTUL AUTECH GT-R in the spotlight, a race car that left a lasting impression on fans. Built to comply with the Super GT 2009 rule set, the real car used a 4494cc V8 DOHC engine paired with a transaxle. Its low carbon body and slim profile helped the team achieve strong results, with Michael Krumm and Masataka Yanagida recording runner-up finishes in both the opening round and the fourth round.
This Tamiya 1/24 scale kit reproduces the 2008 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R with careful attention to shape and livery. The finished model measures 200mm long and 86mm wide, with pad-printed graphics and metal-plated roof components for a factory look. Photo-etched pieces are used for the air-intake mesh and brake discs, an inner roll-cage enhances cabin detail, and solid rubber slick tires add authentic track character. A clear display case and base plate are supplied for presentation.
