The Tamiya 19204 - 1/32 Variatron is a compact entry in the Mini 4WD range that pairs a neat body with the versatile VS chassis. Collectors and workshop hobbyists will appreciate the tidy lines and straightforward platform that make trimming and modest custom work easy. The VS chassis keeps the layout compact for agility on tighter track layouts while the wide tread and extended wheelbase add a reassuring level of straight-line stability for display and casual track runs.

Although the Variatron is aimed at display and casual enjoyment, it still gives builders plenty of scope for light modifications. The kit includes large diameter wheels with racing slicks to give a sense of higher speed potential, while competitive racers may want to add upgraded parts for serious track use.
