This 1/32 Roborace DevBot 2.0 recreates the autonomous racing concept in compact form, delivering a faithful Mini 4WD interpretation. Built as the Tamiya 18656 kit on the MA (Midship AERO) chassis, it balances aerodynamic bodywork with chassis stability for display pieces and track sessions alike.
The MA chassis uses a centre motor layout to improve airflow and handling. Notable elements include six low-friction rollers and a rear skid bar that help keep the car stable at speed. The monocoque frame simplifies assembly for newcomers while still allowing experienced builders to refine performance. The kit includes a 3.5:1 gear ratio to suit competitive running.
Body panels are injection molded in Flat Black ABS, paired with fluorescent orange POM trim pieces for contrast. The shell assembles from four main parts and comes with stickers that reproduce the vehicle stripes and LED motifs. Black fin-style wheels and low-profile tyres complete the authentic look.
The kit is compatible with many Grade-Up Parts for both visual and performance changes. A Type 130 double shaft motor is included for solid drive output, and the model requires two AA batteries to run, which are not supplied with the kit.
