Overview of the Tamiya 18073 JR Dash-0 Horizon Premium on Super II

The Tamiya 18073 JR Dash-0 Horizon Premium returns a 1990 classic to the Mini 4WD line, now fitted to the Super II chassis for improved durability and handling. The kit uses a snap-together assembly that makes it suitable for collectors and newcomers who want a display-ready model with race potential.

Chassis and body build notes

The Super II frame is moulded in dark green ABS plastic for a rigid platform that supports tuning parts and upgrades. The Horizon outer shell comes in white so it is easy to apply decals or custom paint, while metallic green A parts give the model a tidy display look.

Wheels, rollers and drive train

This set fits large six-spoke white wheels with black slick tyres for good contact on standard Mini 4WD tracks. It includes metallic green 13mm rollers to help cornering stability. Driven by a Type 130 motor and a 4.2:1 gear ratio, the kit is ready for club races or shelf presentation.

  • Scale: 1/32
  • Length: 150mm
  • Material: ABS Plastic
  • Motor: Type 130
  • Gear Ratio: 4.2:1
The snap-fit parts mean no glue is required for the main body, so beginners can complete the build quickly while learning about alignment and wheel fitment.
Common upgrades include low-friction rollers, higher grip tyres, and lightweight wheels; the Super II layout accepts many standard Mini 4WD tuning parts.
The Type 130 motor gives reliable performance for casual club races, and you can swap motors if you need faster acceleration or higher top speed.
Store away from direct sunlight and clean tyres and rollers after runs to prevent grime buildup; simple maintenance keeps ABS parts in good condition.
